Here are some drawings I have created over the year.
This is a logo I did for a comedy website I was working on, www.funnyberries.com.
The following sketches were all drawn on my cell phone with Sketchbook Mobile. I have a Samsung Note 2 phone that has a nifty little pen.
This one was painted with acrylic paints:
And here’s a bunch of other ones I thought were worth showing:
Recently I was asked to make a robot for my friend based off a star wars comic. This is what I made. I used 3Ds Max, Photoshop and Mental Ray to make him. It was a lot of work, but I learnt a lot. Most importantly I learnt to NEVER UNWRAP BEFORE THE MODEL HAS BEEN APPROVED! Due to poor management on my part I had to unwrap and retexture this guy 3 times! You live and you learn.
This morning was the meeting of Donna Messer’s Power Team. It was a great meeting, and there were lots of very talented people there. There were accountants, sales people, journalists, TV producers, HR people, and many more. With the amount of talent in the room, we practically could have started our own company!
What we did was we all sat around the table and talked about our strengths, and then tried to connect everyone with people that could help their business endeavors.
As we sat around the breakfast table we also discussed interesting projects that we could all take on to further us in our professional lives. I got a really good idea for what I could do to help the stand up comedy scene in Toronto. More details on that later!
For the past year I have been having a rough time with my job search. I had an internship for 3 months, however it did not go any further. The struggle was long, tough, and stressful.
This morning I met with the queen of networking, Donna Messer. She has agreed to take me under her wing and to mentor me while I job hunt. During our meeting she was able to connect me with a few people in the 3D field that might need someone with my talents. She is speedy.
She is also amazing at keeping up with people. She gave me lots of useful tips on staying in the know with skilled people.
She has made a lot of good suggestions for my reel which I have really taken to heart. She told me that all of my shots lack emotion and a message, and gave me some good causes to make animations for. She was right! I know I can grab people’s attention if I make animations that people will want to see and show people.
She also told me about the power of blogging, and what I can do to have a popular blog to gain the attention of important people. I’m going to use these skills to take this blog to the NEXT LEVEL!
On Thursday I will be attending her early power group, and will post updates about it as I go. She is fantastic at what she does and hopefully I will be able to connect with the right people.
I will be a guest on her radio show some time next week, and will post the interview on here, as well as the updates.

Lately, I have been designing websites for small businesses. Today I made one for a local dog walker who needed an online presence. If you wish to see her website, go to www.dashinghound.net.
Right now I am working on after effects special effects. I am just learning right now, but I am thrusting myself into it full blast. Here is my first VFX video in after effects. I used motion tracking, masking, and composited animated layers.
Check it out!
Hey everyone! I’m still working on my Demo Reel. Today I made and added a little intro typography video. I made it in after effects and I feel it adds a new exciting flair to the beginning and end of my reel. I also decided that I am going to start adding some vfx videos, because I don’t seem to have any on my reel right now. More to come in the coming weeks!
You can see it on vimeo at: https://vimeo.com/77813362
Here is a little Work in Progress of a scene I’m going to add to my reel. It is a tron inspired scene. The final version will be animated, and will have the tank blowing up the light bikes. It’s a lot of fun working on this, and I am learning a lot about renderers. If you click the little magnifying glass in the bottom right corner you can see all my half finished work. (This scene is around 60% done)
